Our Story

Hello! Our names are Petra and Victoria and we’re lucky to live in the village of Malham in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. We have always enjoyed various types of crafting, and we found that making and pouring scented candles and wax melts, candles gives us huge amounts of enjoyment and pleasure. This have moved on to the  They fill our homes with a lovely fragrance, (hiding the everyday smells of wet sports kit and beloved pets) - our houses now smell wonderful!

We were keen to share our passion with others, and challenge ourselves to do something new and exciting. After a few glasses of wine in the pub, we decided to start our own business making candles and melts from home, and Malham Herbals was born.

We decided from the start that we were both passionate about making our products as naturally as possible and that they should be environmentally friendly. By using natural essential oils and soy wax (no synthetic fragrances or paraffin wax), they are kind on the lungs and to the environment. The packaging is recyclable and recycled wherever possible (even our labels!). 

 

In terms of aromatherapy, our products have been crafted with different purposes in mind. Each candle uses a carefully selected blend of natural essential oils to achieve the desired fragrance. For example, our Peppermint & Eucalyptus candle creates an energizing vibe and can be used if you have a headache or are feeling under the weather.  By contrast, the floral blends have been made to create a soothing and relaxing environment within the home. Our wax melts may be used alone or melted together to create even more fragrance varieties.
