FAQ
-
Do I need to trim my wick each time I burn the candle?Yes - to ensure a slow and steady burn the wick should be trimmed to 4mm before you light your candle.
-
Why does my candle not burn evenly? Each time your candle is burned, you must allow a full melt pool to form. This takes around 1 hour. If you don't do this, your candle will form a 'tunnel', leaving unmelted wax around the edges. This is a feature common to all candles.
-
Why does my candle have a rough or pitted top after burning? This is caused when the hot wax in the melt pool cools and solidifies at an uneven rate, and is a feature of all soy wax candles. Using a candle snuffer or pinching the wick rather than blowing your candle out can help to reduce this. However, the effect is purely aesthetic and will not affect the burn or scent of the candle.
